2. What We Do With It

Your data serves three purposes: authenticating your account, displaying your contributions on the platform, and compiling aggregate rankings. We analyze anonymized demographic and ranking trends to help our partners and agencies — brands, product teams, and service providers — understand how their offerings perform relative to competitors.

This is the core of what Knowbettr does: compile canonical rankings of products and services so that agencies and brands can better position and test their offerings against others.

3. What We Don't Do

We do not sell your email, username, or any personally identifiable information. We do not share individual user identities with partners, advertisers, or any third party. We do not send marketing emails from third parties. Your personal information is never the product.

4. Partner Data Sharing

We share aggregated, anonymized demographic and ranking data with partners. For example, a partner might learn that “65% of voters aged 25–34 ranked Product X above Product Y.” This data cannot be traced back to individual users. We group demographic data to surface trends — we do not disclose who voted or how any specific person voted.

5. Security

We protect your personal information using industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit, row-level database security, secure authentication flows, and regular security audits. We work to protect your data as thoroughly as our technology allows. No system is perfectly secure, and we are transparent about that.

6. Your Rights

You can update your profile and demographic information at any time from your account settings. You can delete your account, which will remove your personal information from our systems. To request data deletion or ask questions about your data, please contact us.

7. Cookies & Analytics

We use analytics and performance tracking tools (such as Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics) to understand how people use the platform. These tools may place cookies on your device. We use this data to improve site performance and user experience — not to build advertising profiles.
